| I went back over there again but this time I was using smaller hooks and smaller corks. Caught about 4 or 5 of these little guys. | |

| Glad to hear you're still catching the fish, Willy! I don't like snakes of any kind... The only good snake is a dead one lol. Sure are some big channels in that pond, that's for sure! | |

| Thanks Peg and Greg! I can't wait to go back to Florida to fish that pond. We have put 7 channels in that pond between 10 and 15 pounds but the day before hurricane katrina I caught a 7 pound bass out of there and I know there are more than that 1 because since then there was been 2 more a little over 8 pounds put in there. It has been a while since I last reported. Main reason is they have still not been biting too good. Today was a little better. I caught a little bass, a decent channel, and a few small channels today on cutbait. I have mostly been messing around getting use to photoshop. It is alot more different from GIMP than I thought it was. Can't complain because I didn't pay for it. Anybody was a new avitar or signature? | |

| Awesome signature, Willy! Sorry the fish hasn't been biting very good for you. I haven't been out to see if they are biting here or not. Been too busy with other things going on. Hopefully will get some lines wet before it get too cold to go fishing. | |

| I am lucky enough to have ponds close enough to my house that I can go fishing whenever I feel like it. Since I am still in school I have plenty of spare time too. I can't wait for the weather to get nice and cool. I love fishing in Danny's pond during the fall and winter. It seems the fish are so predictable. For my signature I actually made it a long time ago and it was extremely simple. | |

| Finally a good fish! I went over to Danny's after I finished posting. I was throwing the cast net and now my shoulder hurts but oh well. Caught a few redear and filleted them for bait. The only bite I had was up by the dam in about 8 feet of water while I was throwing the cast net. There was a bunch of slack in my line when I noticed that the orange bobber was sitting just under the water. I started reeling up slack but when the fish started swimming of I swung. The line barely went tight after I swung so I set the hook again. This time mud and bubbles went everywhere. At the sight of bubles I knew I had either a flathead, grass carp, or turtle. considering it was pulling pretty hard and swimming pretty fast I knew it wasn't a turtle but I didn't think it was fast enough to be a carp. Only using 15 pound test it took me a little bite before I could get my hand on his bottom jaw. The batteries in the camera were almost dead and the pictures didn't take. The flathead has gotten fatter since I caught him a couple months back. Like I said the pictures didn't take but here is a picture of him from July. He hasn't got much longer but he has gotten alot fatter. | |

| Thanks Scott, Peg, and Mike. It won't be too much longer now and the flatheads should be on a feeding frenzy like they do every fall. I am surprised on how this fish bites. First time I caught him I was fishing a big lake on the deep end. The deep end had no stucture what so ever and I caught him on a bluegill head. I brought him home and put him in my neighbors pond. The second time I caught him was in July. He bit in the deepest part of the pond on small bluegill head with one fillet left on. The third time I caught him (yesterday) I caught him on a bluegill fillet cut in half in the deepest part of the pond in about the same spot as I caught him in July. I knew flatheads would make thier own territories but I figured that since Danny's pond is so small that this fish wouldn't do it. Both times I have caught him he was in about the same spot so maybe he tends to feed in the deeper part. | |

| Great report, Willy! It's amazing how fish will do the same feeding/territorial things even when they are put in different waters/structures..... Look forward to reading more reports! | |

| Thanks Mike, Peg, Greg, and bassfisher (sorry I don't know your name). I can't believe how much weight he put on in 2 months. This was him last fall when I caught him the first time and put him in my neighbors pond. Notice how dark he was? When I caught for the second time in July he had gotten alot lighter in color but held the same pattern. Except now instead of black and darker brown he is black, light brown, and yellow. Now the only that that has changed is it is two months later and he is alot fatter. | |
