| About the only thing i don't like about the way they do it here, is the they waist all that belly meat when they cut the ribs out like that other wise it's fast and cool. | |

| I always throw the belly meat away. No one wanted these fish because of the recent flood. Family members thought they were contaminated and said they wouldn't eat them and I just don't care much for catfish anyway. I filleted them and gave them to an old black woman my wife used to work with and that was the happiest old woman I've ever seen. I put out two 40 hook trotlines yesterday evening and this is what was on them this morning. I used weenies for bait. | |

| I use a regular fillet knife to clean bluegill, crappie, and perch. However, I like my electric fillet knife for cleaning catfish and I clean them the same way as in the video!~! | |

| On smaller ones,I do it pretty much that way, except I use a regular knife to take out the ribs. Bigger ones I usually skin them, then use the regular knife to fillet them around the ribs instead of cutting thru them. Them big catfish ribs are hard on an electric knife. I like to knock 'em in the head first also, so they don't flop around. | |
