O.K. Is There Any Cleaning Tips Out There That You All Would Like To Share. Question Question Question

When I Clean My Catfish, I Like To Skin Them Then Fillet The Meat From The carcass And Remove The Yellow Strip And The Mud Line From The Fillets. cheers cheers cheers

I fillet them just like any other fish, then cut out the yellow and mud lines.

I clean them like Northstar. Prefer cleaning smaller fish though.

I HANG MINE ON A SHARK HOOK that is hung by a chain so I can put my weight on it while skinning it out then fillet it off the carcass , then lay the knife horizontal and fillet the red meat plus the fat off the meat because none of that is any good! Then cut it up in chunks that will fit into a quart size bag. A quart of fillet will feed my wife and I with hardly any leftovers maybe a bite or two wich Elvis or Priscilla gets!

The best tip I can give is to teach someone else how to do it.

Actually I like to fillet them like I would a Salmon, Steelhead, etc. Then take the skin off and trim off anything that isn't solid white meat.

I hang mine on a tree,,A frigggin HUGE tree because my fish are so HUGGGGGE,,skin them and then filet them...You loose a lot of meat if you don't skin them I think.

I have a very good way to clean them when I'm fishing at Santee, There is a man down there that will clean them,cut out all the fat,red streaks , nothing left but all clean white meat and bagged up ready to go. $25.00 for 200 lbs. , thats the way I do it...........
