I took some pics of Mississippi River while we rode the boat.

Awesome trip Andrew looks like you really had a blast and it looks like the weather was on your side the whole time to, Thanks for sharing the great pics that is parts of the river i have never seen in minnesota.

Great pics!....Seeing those Tugs and barges sure brings back memories...I worked on a tug for a couple of months....It had its advantages but i wouldnt do it again.

I would like to try to work on a tug for experience.. I enjoy to spend time on the water..

Get a job at the shipyard first to learn how to make up tow and bound the barges together...basically you learn the ins and outs of the business and can still go home everyday at first ..After you learn enough to see if you like it or not you can sign on with a tug company that stays gone 7 days, 14 days, 28 days or however long some companies stay out...I stayed out 28 days at a time...That sucked...but i did get 2 weeks off every 28 days.
