Winter Wood season 2009.

This is what we were doing yesterday after i got a new chain and gas and bar oil, today will be the same way minus the running.
Here i is splitting wood.



Here i is cutting from the pile of wood.


The wood is 1/2 seasoned so it will dry up fast and be some great burning this winter, this is what we got done yesterday..


This is what the boy uses for hauling the wood to the pile from the splitter.

We still have a load to split from yesterday this morning.

Looks like you were a busy person yesterday, Mike! Got lots done yesterday, that's for sure! Just remember not to overdo yourself and take frequent breaks.

I do with lots of fluids it's in the 80's during the day from about noon on so yep it's warm for sure.

I sure wish I would have had a log splitter back when we had the old wood heater.

Up and Out splitting by 8:00 AM this morning to start the day off and to think this will be going on till the snow fly's.




Even have a little help from the little ones hauling the bark down to the burn pits we have for doing this.

Thats alot of wood.

I thought i posted this last night, i must have been to tired and for got.

Wow! Looks like you have a good start to the wood piles. How much of that was left from last year? Any?

That back row that you see going the odd way was all we had left from last year the rest we have cut and split this year.

How much more you gotta do?

Wow! You didn't have much wood left at all. At least you had some left and you didn't have to buy any or go cut any more. Hopefully you will have enough for this winter also!

I will be going down and hauling logs home again peg an just a few days lolol it is never ending when you heat with wood.
