Now i have never seen a blue perch before, but i have seen eye's before and them are some dandy's right there along with the steel-head sweet picture Fishers Of Men nice boat to i might add.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that. I have lived in Ohio most of my life and have NEVER seen or heard of a blue perch. Sure is neat looking... Also, awesome boat!

Nice 'eyes! Those look like penn 320s on the water eagles. How well do you like them? I sold my 320 when I bought a ambassaduer 7000 and was thinking about getting an other. I was thinking about getting a eagle claw water eagle to put it on if I do get another.

No those are Okuma Magda Pros and the counters do not hold up more than a season. But I do put them through a lot of abuse. The Convectors seem to be a better reel in the okumas.

I am over due for new rods/reels.

April until Aug then Sept thru Dec.
I start in the spring in the western basin after the spawn then move East as the lake warms and the fish move.
I follow them all the way to Conneaut then back in the fall from Cleveland to Huron.
If you want wall hangers the time is after ice off BUT they have lost #'s of eggs. You will get many 10-11's and possibly your 12-13# er in the late fall.
Up into Dec when they are putting the feed bag on for the winter and building eggs.
This is mainly a nightime deal trolling large 5"+ crankbaits as close to the rocks on the breakwalls as you dare.

WOW! Very nice pics again, FOM! Thanks for sharing with us! It is amazing at the fish some people catch. If it wasn't so darned cold right now, I would be out fishing as long as there wasn't any ice on the water LOL

The Western basin out of Catawba in absolutely crazy right now. Went from 10-20
guys to 200 over night then thousands. The Ramp at Catawba fills up by Daylight, cops turn people away because of no parking, the Airboats, snowmobiles, 4-wheelers screaming out like a race track. Some places have 11" other spots 1" pt open water. You really have to know that Lake and area to do it. And naturally, the guys show up that don't every year and think they do...

Decided to go look around out of curiosity and I left my lounge chair on the rocks last time that needed retrieval anyways.
