OK Grumpy; Yes I agree that Briggs was the sort of standard. Parts every where and I have overhauled some. I even made an air compressor out of one and it worked.

Well I got two letters from Sears and they will contact me within two days. We will see.

In the mean time we are excited about our new Honda machine inspite of the expense. It weights dry at 275 pounds. Our local dealer found some in Jacksonville Florida which is a short distance from us. As a result we should have that new monster with us in 2 or 3 days I expect. I will not care if my dealer takes it out of the container and makes it ready or I do it. I just want it set on my drive way one way or the other.

I must get on with the garden which has nothing planted right now. I am trying not to get depressed over this whole deal.

My local dealer did find some Honda 800 series (Commerical) in Jacksonville Florida so I should receive it very soon.

Still have not heard an offical communication from Sears as to when they will pick the substandard tiller up. They said I would be notified within two business days. So that will be by tomorrow (Friday) evening. We will see. I expect they will honor their commitment. I think they are still good at their 100% satisfaction statements and I have not given up on them.

I got the Honda Commerical tiller today. I am happy that I bought it from a local small town dealer. The owner and his wife delivered it right to my house. They put it together and serviced it and even knocked some off the retail price without me even asking. Nice people and am very happy with dealing with them. I should have went to them in the first place. Actually I did but it is a small town place and they are always busy with customers. So I guess I did not have enough patience that day and walked out. I am glad that I went back after that sub-standard Sears tiller.

The Sears tiller still sits in my garage. It has been somewhat of a hassle to return it. They even offered to send me another one of the same model but "their" technican told me they are all the same and he said that he was trying to be honest with me. The latest is that they will call me tonight and arrange for pickup tomorow. I hope they give me my full money back including the first 65 buck delivery charge. Story continued.

Now this Bernie has no excuse for not getting the garden ready. Much lightning around right now so we will see about tomorrow morning. Looking forward to it.
