I don't know how big okra plants are supposed to get, but I'm over 6' tall and have to bend the plants over to reach the pods. Maybe 8-1/2 or 9' tall now and still growing. It has to be picked daily or the pods will be too large.

The tomatoes are about to wind down. The plants look like they are dying out but there's still tomatoes to be picked daily.

The cucumbers were finished, so I tilled them up and planted some turnips, but the dogs liked the new tilled ground so much they dug all the turnip plants up before they could get started. I had pulled a bunch of cucumbers that were too big to use and just left them in the garden and tilled them over. About a million plants sprouted from the seeds. I went out and thinned them this morning. I hope they will produce before the frost gets here.

My son loves cucumbers and tomatoes. That's usually what he eats for supper. And Bud, the dog will eat them as long as you hand feed them to her.

Yeah ours is about done too. Next year I'm going to do a smaller one. The big garden was a good idea, but it took too much work to keep it up.

When I use to grow okra and the plants got too tall we would top them out back to a reasonable height the add a little fertilize and get one more run from it.
