Yesterday Father's Day, My dad and I went spearing carps. Beaver Dam Lake is flood, so carps swimming through the tall grass and shallow. I have seen many carps swimming around the tall grass and it was hard spots to spear them but I got one and my dad got one too. We have a awesome time on Father's Day.

I have smoked carp many years ago but never ate them fresh. One year I got into many of them so I planted them in flower beds. Wow what a great fertilizer. They really made the flowers grow. This was in a northern climate just below the Straights of Mackinaw in Michigan in the 60's.
