Some Pictures Of Flooding

I went to Defiance today. These pictures of the Auglaize River.

This picture is a corner of a field in the country on my way to Defiance. There were places ALL over that looked like this and WORSE!



This is looking North across the river. I don't know if you can see it, but the water is just about up to the building.



Here is another one that you may be able to see better.



This pic is at the park. As you can see, the drive was shut off cuz of the water. This is looking West.



This is a historical marker.

This pic is the start of Independence Dam State Park. This is supposed to be the boat ramp. As you can see, they also have this shut off.



This is at the pump house at the river. The road right ahead of this was closed off also.



This pic and the above pic was taken in the same spot. There would be NO way to get through the water that is over the road past the "road closed" sign.



This is looking East at the river.

This is a sign of where I took the pictures. They were all on one road, but in different areas.

That is a lot of water right there, hope things settle down before the snow melt north of you that could be real bad.

That's a flood for sure, starting to look like that here today. Lot of rain last night and more today.

Rain missed us thankfully.

We really had some HEAVY rains again last night. In the weather forecast, I posted a severe weather outlook. These rains have caused several roads to wash away also. Thank god the rain is over for a few days. We're not expecting any more rain until Sunday. Hopefully they will change it and we won't get any more. I'm sure that where I took the pictures yesterday morning is a LOT worse today with all the heavy rains we got last night and will continue to get worse for the next couple days because of the run-off.

better get a boat.

I wouldn't be surprised if some people aren't going to need a boat to get in and out of their homes.

The water is a tad bit nipply here yet to be out swimming in it. I wouldn't swim in this river anyways.. Have gone out on the rocks below the dam to do some fishing though and usually had good luck.... That's as close to swimming as I will get in that river..

OH BY THE WAY..... THERE IS A CORRECTION TO MAKE ON THIS POST. IT IS NOT THE AUGLAIZE RIVER, IT IS THE MAUMEE RIVER..... DUH ME!~! LOLOL
