that is a northern pike, and the wire is what i hook up to the battery on my truck for lights in my house. i have a marine battery that i hook up to that also when i don't use the truck battery.

Thanks you don"t see any of that kind of fishing here. are pike good to eat? I guess you save money on buying ice .

wow pike are real good eating fish fact i like to take a fish like that and stuff them with stuffing and bake them. drizzle butter and lemon juice over them as your baking them, then have baked potato and a vedgi to go with it.. and yep lot's of ice for the cooler thats for sure.

ps they are also very good pan fried or deep fried in a beer batter.
