World Record Flathead The HUGE Flathead was caught on May 14th 1998 and topped the scales at 123lbs!!!!. Now heres the go-getter.....Ken caught this thing on a Zebco 33 reel, spooled with 12lb test line!?! Now just try to imagine that fight in the back of your mind!

That's huge one!! Also I heard about 1982 in Arkansas, guy set up the snaglines, caught 139lbs 14oz Flathead catfish but it was not state record.

There is a TON of rumors behind this fish and the story. I guess we'll never know what really happened, but if you do a search, you'll see some folks who question how it was "caugt" and things like that. Still regardless of what the story is: it's at least twice as big as any flathead I'll ever catch!
