Santee Cooper Catfish.

I haven't seen much on here about about the fishery here in the South. Santee Cooper Lakes are a couple of them.
Lake Marion and Lake Moultrie they offer some great cat fishing such as the big Blues,Flatheads,Channel cats.We try
to make several trips down to Santee every year.My wife and I went to to Doug's creek house for a few days last April
and caught some great Blues and Flatheads.Doug knows his fishing holes. He put us on some great fish.My wife caught her first Flathead.It weighed 36 lbs. and I caught my best Flathead 32lb.We also caught several nice Blue cats in the 20lb range.We had a great time.Doug and his wife Lisa are great people.We enjoyed their great southern hospitality.

My wife and I took our pontoon down for a few days in June. Our daughter and son in law met us at the lake. We had a great time.It had all ready got hot weather by then.The fish were not doing much but we still managed to catch several Blue cats in the 20lb range and we saw one 8ft Alligator. Our son in law caught a Channel cat about 10lb his biggest cat fish.He also caught a big soft shell turtle.

ACE Them Are Some Really Cool Pictures, Im Hoping To Get Down To Dougs This Coming Summer Just Dealing With The Heath Issues Right Now. He Is One Great Friend ACE And Hope To Spend A Few Days Fishing With Him At The Lake. Looks Like You All Had A Great Time And Caught A Bunch Of Great Looking Fish Congrats To You All.

Mike Doug and Lisa are to great people we felt right at home and we put the feed bag on that Doug knows how to cook I have some more pic I will share later.

My nephews go down a couple times each year...They always have a great time there...

I know santee is touted as the premire cat lake but to me texoma is hard to beat. I do good here at sam rayburn but in texas you can't beat texoma for big cats and plenty of them!!
