A good day fishing yesterday.

Put in a good day yesterday, I started out at the river at sunup for about an hour,


No luck there, and headed east to a farm pond for a couple hours. First spot I fished, the gills were small, but the second spot I found some nice ones.




These two were real pigs.




About 11 o'clock, I drove up to mom's place and picked her up. She had a knee replacement a month ago, and was itching to get out fishing. We drove out to her pond, and kept 19 eater size gills. Mom is 83, and still spry as a bird.




Headed for home about 3:30, had a bite to eat and went out and planted 10 asparagus roots. Then the wife decided she wanted to go fishing, so we went to another farm pond, and caught a few more gills and a couple crappies. I was tired of cleaning fish, so these were released.






Sun was setting as we left, talk about a full day!

That was one heck of an outing, awesome buddy and congrats to you all everyone had smiles on there faces you can't beat that. well eating them will be a very close second lolol.
