| Flocks of starlings have located my bird feeder and are running the songbirds off. Anyone know of a way to keep them away without taking the feeder down? Yesterday, I put a walkie talkie out there and every time I saw them at the feeder, I would make noise and they would fly away, but after 4 or 5 times, they didn't pay any attention to it. | |

| Grumpy do you have a window right there, if so when they did that to me i would just open the window and scare them off, after a while they started coming back so i got out the shotgun and hell yes i blasted there butts and after a couple times they never came back and no that is not because i shot them all fact i only got 2 and the cats wouldn't even eat the disease ridden birds. | |

| Yeah, I can see them right outside the window. They would fly off when I banged on the glass at first. Then I had to start opening the door and yelling at them. I thought about using up some old shotgun shells on them. | |

| They don't like that at all, and when a buddy of theirs comes up missing they seem to just move on down the road. lolol | |

| I gave that a try. There was a bunch around the feeder and on the ground yesterday and I opened the door and tried to shoo them away. They all flew but two. I went and got the 22 rifle and the two birds were still sitting side by side on the feeder. I killed them both with one shot and left them laying on the ground. There hasn't been another black bird at the feeder since. It didn't bother the cardinals and other birds though. | |
