Lost 2 very dear friends today

Yep I had to close my paypal account for security reasons so today I bid farewell to ebay and paypal.

That sucks, Ridge.... You can open up another account and be SURE when you make your password, you not only have letters, but UPPER case, lower case AND numbers in it. It is a LOT harder and you are a LOT less likely to have your account messed with. I've had a paypal account for several years. I had someone hack my account at one time. Thank god there were no purchases made. I then went into paypal, closed that account and made a new nick and password. ALSO, BEWARE, as there are a LOT of PHISHING scams out there. The email looks legit, but when you click on that link, LOOK at the website on your address bar... If it does NOT say the valid paypal address, DO NOT click on ANYTHING.. You can also report that website as a phishing scam from the "tools" section on your address bar...

I use Pay Pal alot. So far no problems. E Bay is another story though.

I have used them both alot to, for buying my stuff of ebay only though, the rest is done with credit card right to were i buy my stuff.

An interesting final note on the whole paypal episode. I talked to them one day about closing my account, and the next day I had a deposit to my paypal account for the amount the Canadian tried to steal from me. I don't know if it was paypal trying to keep me as a customer, or if paypal collected it from the guy who tried to steal from me. I transferred it to my bank account and closed my paypal account as soon as it cleared. It kind of reminded me of when Israel went into the promised land and looted their enemies. I particularly like the story of Jehosaphat it took them 3 days to collect the look after all 3 enemy armies wiped each other out. God can do some amazing things. That money from paypal is going to help Haiti.

Been using paypal and ebay for several years with no problems so far.

My brother buys oscilloscopes and other electronic gadgets off ebay that are listed as untested or as is and he checks them out, repairs them if needed and resells them on ebay.
