| Came home last night and the wife's computer was all messed up and infected. I tried to uninfect it -- to no avail. I installed Vista on it and I'm amazed how well vista runs if you have enough memory. So I decided to restore mine since it was running slow. Took 2 hours to go through all 7 discs, and in the end there was a windows error. So I spent all day today trying to find a Linux distro that will work with my computer. It took 2 hours and 58 minutes to download Linux XP which is supposed to be able to read windows files and work with a windows network. I'm burning the cd right now. I'm hoping I didn't lose the pictures on my computer the wife wanted to keep! | |

| Sorry to hear that you're wife's computer was infected. Glad to hear you got it fixed. Been there done that. It takes longer to wipe it out and do the other stuff you need to do than it does to actually install the program on it. Hope everything continues to work well for you!~! | |
