That fish is the Virginia state record, not world record. That fish is about 22 pounds shy of world record. Give the James river a few more years I would not be surprised to see a world record come out of there. If I remember right bluecats were introduced to the James river 10-15 years ago and that fish was the first one over 100 pounds to be caught. Actually it was the first land locked fish of any species over 100 pounds to be caught in Virginia.
