Cutting wood today

Well i have no pictures this time as we were in a hurry today because of the weather was changing to rain, sleet, and snow and that damn wind had to be blowing this time to. Any who we got 2 loads cut, split, and brought home and stacked all nice and neat for the winter, only 20 more loads to go and we will be safely set for the winter. Now we are in town doing laundry and i am beat and wish i was in bed, just to wake up and do it again tomorrow.

I don't have much of a choice though, it's a 175.00 bucks a pickup load here and that is not going to happen and i can't afford to fill my 500 gallon fuel tank when the wood is free if i do it myself.

I completely understand that, Mike.. I remember heating with ONLY wood and had to go out and cut it. I enjoyed it to a certain extent, but then it got to be more of a hassle than anything..... I'm glad I don't have to do that any more... I don't think my body could handle that any more..

Well i have been doing this for about 30 years now so it's getting old but it's now a necessity more than ever with the price of fuel the way it is.
