Good Channel Cat Bait

The little Catawba worm is a good southern favorite channel catfish bait I have several Catawba trees here in
in my yard that I planted about 15 years back .The worms show up in mid June it takes about a week to 10 day
to mature into catfish bait my Children and Grandchildren love to go jugging for cat with them.They also make good
Bream bait.

Ace Does That Tree Get Them Great Big Beans On It.

Mike they bloom then a bean will grow about 10 to 12 inches long that where you get the seeds to start the trees from.
I raised all of mine from seeds I gave Dragger {3 trees} 3 year back they are about 15 feet tall now.

Ace, that is some awesome bait right there! I can remember catching 20 to 25 bream with one little piece of ca-tabla worm when I was a kid. They are hard to come by down here for some reason. We use to be able to get them at the bait stores, but no one gets them anymore. Some of the best bait to get a ice-chest of fish for supper! Thanks Ace!

Thats some of the best channel bait there is..I used to put them in a paper bag and go fishing,,you could hear them crawling around in the bag a 100 yards away.lol

I've got a neighbor with one of those trees. I'll have to check it for worms. When's the best time to find them?

ive never had much luck for cats on them but the bluegills devour them for me !!!

Never can seem to get my hands on those!

So that's what they look like. Thanks Ace, I've always wondered what those guy's looked like. We don't have them here where I live, but I've read a lot about them.

That is some great cat bait, I have 4 trees that should have some worms on them this summer, Ace gave me the trees about 3 years ago,they were 3 ft tall,and now they are around 8 to 10 ft ..................

wow them trees grow fast i have a buddy in town that has one of them trees that is about 30 feet high that i can get some seeds from that is what im going to do this summer.
