update

here is a pic of todays outing . It is not very much but it sure cooks better than skunked

I am still having a problem catching sizeable bait, but today I found out why!! A family of four otters moved into that cove where I am stting my traps so that is where the bait has gone!! The bait has moved out or has been eaten
I wont be able to fish for a while I need to find a good shop manual for my outboard. I would love to get the original one for it from a johnson dealer if it isn't too much. I have found a few on the net but nothing sats OEM SOOO I am going to put out some feelers to see what I can find!! I want to do it right , this a good low hrs outboard that will last a long time if taken care of!! If anyone knows which and where and how much please give me a shout :idea:

Nice bunch of fish Pappy. Sure beats what i done lately. MS river has been on the rise for a week. Looks like it will crest this week so I might try my luck.

do you fish when the river is rising and falling?

I was told on the rise and at peak was suppose to be the best, what y'all think

I was always told water coming up adjust water going down adjust , when water stabilizes the bite slows but fish always

I seem to do better on a slow fall. That is if the wind is not out of the NE.
