That is different for sure, i would be worried about snagging them with my hooks.

A rock in a piuece of panty hose works great to, and you can pick your own wieght off the bank most of the time.

That is definately different, Greg. I suppose it would work in a pinch if you are low on funds etc. as you said. I would also adhere to what they're saying about fresh water too... Remember to not put fish in a body of water that it didn't come out of, unless you are fishing with the bait. When fishing with minnows, I NEVER release the minnows in the body of water that I am fishing UNLESS they came from that body of water. I always throw out in the trees, in a trash can etc.
