| Papa and I talked about this a while back. I have somewhere around $200.00 worth of rods, reels, and tackle. Each time I go out fishing I spend around $5.00 on bait plus the cost of gas and drinks. It would actually be cheaper to buy catfish filet's at the grocery store than it would be to catch them out of the river. So I ask myself why do I fish? | |

| Its a bit of an addiction for me...I love to hear that drag screaming and seeing those rods bend over like pea pickers....Nothing like being on the water in the late afternoon and watching the sun go down with the last few rays of daylight shimmering on the water...Just the idea of catching a biggun is enough to keep my mind off of everyday life and the problems it has to trouble us with...Each fish I catch is just a little different than others from the past...Theres nothing like taking a good friend to your favorite spot and watch them smile after a nice catch...Its making memories and friendships that will last. | |

| It's not only an addiction for me; it is also a time for me to forget about everyday problems. It is a very big stress reliever for me. When I come home from fishing, it's like I'm a renewed person. | |

| I deffinetly don't do it for the meat. For what little meat I keep for myself It would be much cheaper to buy the fillets. I guess I do it for fun and in a way the money. I have only been to 2 tournaments and both times I was in the money. I never really thought about how much money I have in my stuff. I have a pennicle inertia on a team diawa rod (115), a shimano callisto on a ugly stick lite (80), abu garcia stealth combo (40), 7000 on a night stick (140), 6600d6 on a king kat (170), 5600 on a prowler (130), 6500 on an americat (150), a 6000 on a power 6000 (100) , plus alot of rod and reels that I don't use and I have line on them and bait. So I am like Mike, close to a thousand dollars and worth every penny to hear that clicker or drag scream or see that bass blow up on a buzz bait. | |

| I would hate to think how much I have in tackle, but I love fishing and it gets me out of the house. Years ago I was into slot car racing untill I figured out I had more money in them than I did the car I was driving, then boom that phase was over. I'm sure I have more in rods reels and tackle than what my old truck is worth, but it has been bought over the years so it's not all out of the pocket at one time. | |

| I just love it....I's a time that I can just sit and not think about all the problems in the world or what I have to do the next day...I sit there and I look out over the water and I just think how blessed I am..How beautiful it all is....And how lucky I am.... | |
