Morris Police have located the body of a missing woman.
46-year-old Laurie Heintzelman was last seen on Saturday night between 10 and 11 pm, when she left the Old Number One Bar and Grill in Morris alone.
We spoke with Chief of Police James Beauregard of the Morris Police Department. Her parents filed the missing person report and a ground search began on Sunday with the Morris Police.
Just after 2pm Monday her body was discovered behind a residence on the 600 block of East 8th Street.
Beauregard encourages anyone with information about what happened to Heintzelman to contact the police department.
Law enforcement continues to process the scene.
An autopsy is scheduled.
