Clear lake trip today.

Headed north a couple hours to try our luck at Clear Lake this morning. As usual, we should have been there yesterday!

A few houses out when we got there, a lot more were out when we left.

Luke with the first fish of the day. We ended up with 2 sub-legal walleyes and a half dozen yellow bass.

This made the trip worthwhile.

I love It Buddy And Yes Grilling Out On The Lake While Fishing On The Ice Makes For A Darn Nice Day Congrats On The Catches Guy's.

Is that one of the main lakes there in Iowa.

Well, it's one of the bigger natural lakes in Iowa. This was my first trip there, but I know it gets used pretty heavy. Esp a lot of pleasure boats in the summer. Supposed to be a pretty fair walleye lake. The yellow bass take over a lot of small lakes, the DNR has drained and renovated several smaller lakes the last few years because they were full of nothing but small yellows. From what I've read, Clear Lake has enough predator fish and fishing to keep them in check and allow them to reach decent size.

Do they taste any good??
