| I also use a slip rig, but won a planner bobber and am going to try it out this year. I am also putting a planner board together to take my trot line out in the river and do to not having a boat on the water I can get it out without having to wade out in the river. I'm to old for wading and can't swim anymore so it's boat or a way from the bank for me. | |

| Well I've been trying out some different types of rigs lately, there hasn't been enough current for the planner board to do any good, so I put a snap on the end of my leader to hook a bobber on, then put one hook about a foot below that and another hook about another foot back from the first with a slip sinker on it so I can cast it out then reel in till the bait is up in the top 3 feet of the water, if they don't bite there I just take the bobber off and have a two hook slip rig on the bottom. Still want to try this one out some more since the river is getting some water back in it again. If I just use a small bobber I can also just use it to keep the bait up off of the bottom also. I'll let you know how it works out. | |

| same here, I use slip sinker rig. Sometime I use the jighead with worm like walleye rig so it was fun to catch catfish on it. | |

| Mainly a carolina rig and a slip sinker. The outer poles, Ill use a no-roll sinker to make it stick. The inner poles use a roll sinker to go back and forth to scour the hole better. Just move your engine a turn or two on the wheel that will move you over a few feet works the best. If you want your bait up off the bottom, just snap in a small bobber on the leader. | |
