Elite police detained after off-duty brawl

FRANKFURT (Reuters) – Three elite Frankfurt police officers who were involved in an off-duty brawl at a brothel have been detained by police and are under investigation for assault, a Frankfurt police spokesman said Tuesday.

Confirming a report in Bild newspaper, the spokesman said the three officers of the elite SEK anti-terrorism unit had been transferred to another department pending the outcome of the investigation by the state prosecutors' office.

The three officers, aged 30, 32 and 35, were in a red-light district of Germany's financial capital after an office party. They got into a dispute with the brothel's bouncers that turned violent. Police arriving detained the three off-duty colleagues.

We just had something like that happen here in the twin cities, the cops kick the crap out of some patrons and when the victims said they were going to call the cop they said they are the cops and continued kicking they while they were on the floor the cops are now on leave pending an investigation.

Stuff like that is all over...Cops are human too and make just as many mistakes as the rest of us..even on the job....Its a high tension job at times and can lead to crazy mistakes.

I knew a cop in LA that was a really good one, but he kept getting moved to different pricints all the time because he kept getting caught smoking pot, every time they just moved him someplace else where nobody knew him.

Our whole Narcotics department [4 people] got fired last year for taking a undercover car across the river and going to a strip club picking up a couple of girls and bring them back for a little get together in the van talk about stupid the girls dropped a dime on them

I hate to see bad publicity for cops, they do a job that know one else will or could do with people NO ONE wants to be around!! But I know freedom of the press is just that freedom to report all the news. It is just that most of the time you only here the bad cop news!!
