At What Water Temps Do You All Like The Best For Fishing Cat Fish, And Is There A Difference From One Species To The Next.???

Here In Minnesota We Have The Flathead And The Channel, And I Start Trying When The Water Hits About 50 Degrees. Yes I Know Thats A Little Earl But Man It Has Been A Long Winter Most Of The Time And I Just Want To Wet That Line For The First Time. cheers cheers cheers

heck i catch channel cats in water around 42 degrees every Spring !! give it a try the first warm day you get in the spring .....you might be pleasantly surprised !!

flatheads............. i dont even try to catch till the water reaches 50 degrees which is around April in the river here !!

we gave it a try for the channels this spring when we had the first days in the 70's but there was still ice chunks floating down the river and some snow in the ditches and did get a thing but i will say it was a awesome day just getting out for the first time. cheers cheers cheers

love that early spring weather .................Ohio is the same way !!! catching fish in a T-shirt one dayand 70 degrees and the next day its 28 degrees and snows 5 inches !!! LOL
