| Lets pray that these four tropical systems that are out there just go away...Gas prices are high enough and there are still thousands of folks from Katrina,Charley and Rita that are trying to recover...Not to mention storms from decades ago that left mental scars on many. | |

| The weather channel and the local politicians in the northern gulf states are scaring the hell out of folks this time and its not even in the gulf yet....It may very well not follow the track theyre saying or it could...If it does not follow that track they have just lost peoples confidence in there forecasting and that could be a setup for a worse disaster in the future....They are really jumping the gun on this one causing panic and wasting valuable tax dollars on evacuation areas that may not need evacuating....They are morons. | |

| Well I Guess The Tax Dollars Would Get Wasted Anyway Some Were, Now The Forecast Is Another Thing Though And The Government Has Been Getting On There Ass About This For Years. They Really Need To Get There Act Together And Start Getting There Forecasts In A Higher Percentage Of Being Correct Because To Many People Have Had A Loss Of Life, Hope There Right About This One And I Hope That The People Still Heed The Warning. | |

| All it takes is a shift in the high pressure ridge or a weak point and that throws the forecast off by 10 to 200 miles.....Its easy to mess up .......I can understand that they want the folks of New Orleans to be safe but all they gotta do is have the buses in place and then yell"evacuate" with 48 hrs to go...Right now is the time to be yelling.."get ready"...Even after yelling evacuate there might be a few thousand idiots stay in there homes....I've been through so many of these things that I lost count and this storm is no different that the rest......"Stay out of flood zones, get out of weak structure, have plenty of food and water"...I followed these guidlines since I was a kid and it worked out ok....We never started getting bunkered in or evacuated until the 2 day impact period. | |

| Its looking like the possibility of another New Orleans flooding is inevitable....I hope it veers a little more to the west....Even though the wind speeds have dropped the damge will still be catastrophic in the New Orleans area if it hits there. | |
