Chasing Large Mouth This Time Of Year Can Be Tough At Times Unless You Have A Boat Or You Have A Lake With Good Populations Of Bass. Weather Also Has A Major Part In Were, When, How And If The Morning, Noon, Or Evening Will Be The Choice To Take The Trip To The Lake. This Year Has Been A Rather Strange Year As Far As Weather Goes And That Has Really Changed Things As To When The Fish Has Spawned Or Still Are On The Beds Which Some Still Are. Here In My Area The Large Mouth Are At About A 50/50 As To Being On The Beds Yet So Some Good Fish Can Be Caught In The Shallows And As Deep As 10 Feet Right Now. This Is Were If You Have A Good Populated Lake With Bass You Can Often Times Catch Some Really Good Fish From Shore Or By Wading A Little Which Feels Good And Keeps Ya Cool In The Heat Of The Day Any Way. Water Levels Very From Area To Area Also This Also Can Have A Big Play In The Game Of Catching Fish, Some Areas This Year Have Had Some Astronomical Amounts Of Rain Leading To Flooding And The Delay To Some Fish Even Spawning But I Think That The Large Mouth Faired Pretty Good So Lets Hit The Water And See Some Fish Caught Be Safe.

I went out with my bud last Thursday to a local lake, we fished for about eight hours for Bass or anythiing else that wanted to hit a lure. My bud got one about 10 inches and I got one gill about 6 inches, nobody else on the lake even got a bite, but was fun being oiut there trying any way.

Been catching a lot of spotted bass in the back bays Mike but nothing of any size really. All in all they are still fun
