I was thinking about you last Saturday Mike. Ray and I were driving down the Burnt River heading to the Snake River and Brownlee Reservoir and that little stretch of the Burnt River is where I have seen those 40 pound plus Carp carcasses laying around before. That's where Ray and I tried the vanilla soaked corn last year but never had a bite. This time I'm going to try just plain old white bread dough balls. That's what we used to catch them down at the Fireboat in Portland all the time. I don't know if you guy's have a different type of Carp back there than we do out here, but I sure didn't have any luck with the corn. I will take it along and try it again, but like I said I'm going to have the old standby bread dough with us too. Sure would like to catch some of those hogs that collect in there every year and take some pictures to post on the site here.

Have not fished carp much the last few years. State has been stocking Tiger Muskies in my favorite carp lake for several years now and they are getting big eating carp. Carp fishing has steadily declined there for quite awhile now.

Man Around Here If There Is Running Water (Creeks, Rivers, Streams,) There Are Carp In Them, The Minnesota River Has Some Giant Carp And Im Talking Big Just A Worm Or Corn And The Fight Is On. I Have Caught 100's Of Carp In The 30 To 40 LB Range There On Medium Action Rods And Reels, LOL Around Here They Are That Big But The Majority Are In The 10 To 20 LB Range Which Is Still A Blast On Light Tackle. cheers cheers cheers

Well, i suppose that another reason I've not caught many is that for the last couple years a large part of my fishing time has been spent at AEP ReCreation Lands. Very Happy Very Happy
