| I have gone through rain gauges at least 1 every 2 years because they get broke by the grand kids or froze and broke in the winter, well i went and got me a nice one for down at the garden and just in time to. I know you can't read how much rain is in the tube but i put it in the ground and that night it rain .07 tenths of an inch then heated up to 80 degrees that day. We have some good storms expected for this weekend so i guess i bought a good one at the right time. | |

| I saw one at a store the other day and almost bought it, but then I asked myself what difference it would make to me if I knew how much it rained. | |

| well the i like it to help me figure out about when i should water after it rains by keeping records of when it rains and when it don't. I don't do that so much as just for the garden, i do it just to see what we have for rain here compared to a couple buddies in a different part of the county. It raised my swamp about 2 inches with that 7 tenths i hope we get that much rain every other day for about a year that would be awesome for our lakes and rivers here. Rain gauges are cool to because you can get some pretty awesome ones out there if ya look around, any who i like rain gauges they just don't like me and break all the time. | |

| I like them too and might eventually break down and buy one. They had some nice ones at Rural King. Maybe someone will get me one for Christmas. | |

| I have went through a couple of them, then I got smart, or so I like to think, now when it's starting to get cold, I just go out and turn it upside down on the pole until it warms up again, been working great, no more frozen ones aoll broken up. | |
