Try using a SMALL flat rate box. You can get at least 5 pounds of lead in one and maybe even 10 pounds. You only pay $4.95 to ship it. They measure 5-3/8” x 8-5/8” x 1-5/8”. You just have to put plenty of tape on them so they don't split open.

I have lined the inside of boxes with shop rags and then taped them up real good

I buy my crappie fishing sinkers from a guy on ebay. They are like bass casting sinkers with a wire loop on top but no swivel. I get 100 5/8 oz. sinkers for $13.95 with free shipping. I don't know how he can make any money at that price after ebay and paypal fees, but he's been doing it a long time, so I guess he's making something off them

He makes them in bulk with a combination mold....Gets the lead free then works his tail off.
