WOODBURY, Minn. (AP) - Thieves stole more than $50,000 worth of equipment from a Woodbury church.
Valley Creek Church doesn't own a building yet. Its members gather in a public space in Woodbury, and the church stores all of its electronic equipment inside a 24-foot trailer.
Pastor Trent Redmann discovered Sunday morning the trailer was missing from its usual spot in another church's parking lot. Police later found the trailer in St. Paul, empty except for some bibles and children's toys.
Redmann says his worshippers remained upbeat. The church improvised its morning services, using borrowed and used backup equipment. Redmann says they reminded themselves that the church is its people, not its equipment.
