Well This Year Of Ice Fishing Is Coming To An End And If You Were One Of The Fortunet Ones Than You Had A Good Year, Needless To Say I Wasn't One Of Them, But I Also Didn't Get Out As Much As I Would Have Liked To. But The Year Is Still Coming To An End And The Ice Is Getting Thinner And We Need To Watch What We Are Doing Out There, We Need To Hone Our Senses In On Years Past As To How Safe The Ice Is And When Not To Be Venturing Out Any More. Because We Had More Ice This Year On Our Lakes Than We Have Had In The Last 5 Years It Can Be Very Easy To Get Carried Away With Safty. We Came From Alexandria Today And Seen There Was Several Cars And Trucks Out There On The Ice Even Though The Ice Looks Unsafe, Man I Guess I Would Be Tired From Walking Because I Just Don't Think Things Are That Safe This Time Of Year For Driving Out There Any More. I Really Think For Me Im Waiting On Shore Till The Crappie Come In To Spawn Being I Weigh 240-lbs And I Just Don't Feel Like Getting Wet And Cold. Just Remember Folks Just Because Theres One Car/Truck Out There On The Ice That Don't Mean You Will Make It There Be Safe And Have Fun. cheers

Well Were Down To About 25 Inches But The Ice Is Getting To Have Water Standing On It And It's Rotting Away Quick. cheers

25 inches ya'll are spoiled I used to get excited at 6 inches which meant I would have at least a week of good tip up action LOL

LOLOLOLO Terry This Year On Most Lakes Here Had Over 30 Inches Of Ice For Most The Winter. Shocked

Yeah really 25inches takes a long time to go away!!! We had 6 on Erie and its taken a month!!! and its still floating around!

I have never had enough ice in jersey to even break the bank for an auger I always used a floor scraper or a regular claw hammer and chisel LOL But I was out there none the less LOL
