My Spear

these are my spear heads on a 5 foot .

Mike; when you thrust, toss or throw the spear you probably stick it in the water first I would think. If you throw it from above the water then you have to allow for the refraction image that you actually see. Plus the splash might spook the pike. How close do you get to the fish before you do it. I have never done it nor seen it done.

Bernie When I Throw The Spear At A Fish I Put The Head Of The Spear In The Water Up To Were The Tines Meat The Shaft Of The Spear Head, Doing So Is Like You Said So As To Not Spook The Fish When You Throw It. Also I Only Spear In 8 Foot Of Water Or Shallower, Were Some Like To Sear Deeper Not Me.

I have a two spear, Few years ago in summer, I went to do some spear carps so I was wading thru Fox River so it was great time so right now I'm trying to do bowfishing this spring.
