Below are pics of a few ponds I fish at AEP ReCreation Lands. It is old strip mine country that was partially reclaimed and opened up to public use. 42,000 acres with over 350 lakes and ponds, and I think 10 free campgrounds.

The website for it is http://www.aep.com/environmental/recreation/recland/default.htm

Not all the ponds have all of these but in AEP you can find LM Bass, bluegill, crappie, pike, musky, channel cats, flatheads, perch, and walleye.

About a 100 miles to Cumberland. If you go make sure that you print the permit and map off the website, you will need both. Also watch the signs for restricted or private property, especially around The Wilds. I would suggest you go with somebody as the best fishing is well off the beaten path. Still a lot of highwalls and rough terrain there and if you were to get hurt it might be weeks before anybody found you. Some of the best fishing I have ever experienced but it aint a walk in the park.
