Do you make your own leaders?

I like to tie my snelled leader hooks I use Berkley Big Game 40 lb test and 8/0 to 10/0 Gamakatsu Octopus circle hooks and ss power swivels for big Blue and Flathead for channel cats I use 6/0Gamakatsu Octopus circle hooks 30 lb test line and ss snap type swivels.I snell my hooks then use a double over hand knot on the swivel end with 14 inches of line.

ACE I Have Always Thought About Doing That And The Interest Seems To Keep Me Interested If That Makes Sense. I Was Looking At Some Kits At Bass Pro For Making Your Own So Payday Is Just Around The Corner.

I've made jigs and a few spoons...A lot of time and sometimes a lot of money...LOL..But it was fun making your own and then catching fish with them..

I make all my own leaders also, I just can't see buying them when I can do it myself and I agree it's a lot of fun. All we are fishing for around here is Channels so I just use 20lb line to make mine out of. Swivel about 1 to 15 inch leader with either a circle or khale hook snelled on.

Buy in bulk....saves alot of money over the years.
