| I don't buy much tackle any more. When I had the store, I could get stuff wholesale from Bass Pro Shops and a few other suppliers. I bought most of my personal gear back then. Now about all I buy are hooks and sinkers. I get the sinkers in bulk off ebay.
There wasn't much of a discount on name brand stuff at the wholesale level, but Bass Pro Shops branded stuff was about half price of what it lists for in the catalogs. | |

| I have a sinker mold, so most of the sinkers that would be used around here, I can make. As far as my hooks, Ebay seems to have some good deals if you look around... If I had my choice other than that, it would either be Gander Mountain in Ft. Wayne, IN, or Cabela's in Dundee, Michigan. | |

| I hate Bass Pro Shops. I went to Nashville and bought a trolling motor for $349, came back home and saw it in their catalog for $299. I was really pixxed off. I called them and they said with shipping, it would cost about them same. I told them that there was no shipping costs involved in the one I bought though. They said "oh well". | |

| Anything over 20 bucks I am buying at a local store owned by my friend Ronny. He sells his stuff at the same price catfish connection does before shipping. That is why he gets all money. If I buy a 40 dollar rod I pay 40 bucks not 40 plus 6 thousand shipping and 5 more for being larger than 4 foot. I pick up some little stuff at walmart every now and then. I also take a trip to BPS every year but I only buy bass stuff. | |
