2010 Fishing Reports

Good job on the fishing, Willy!~! We've only been twice since this spring. Been pretty hectic around here also. Hopefully it will start settling down so we can get into some fall bites!~!

Thanks Peg. Today was the first time we have had any rain in forever. It was already kind of cold but the temp really dropped when it started raining. I caught 2 over at danny's while it was raining. The first one I had just casted out and hadn't sit the rod down yet and it hammered some strawberry chicken.



The second one bit on a bluegill. He slowly eased the bobber down and I am surprised this small of a channel cat could get that big bluegill in his mouth.

Smallest snapper I ever caught besides the little quarter sized fresh hatched ones.



Softshell

They are still biting on bluegill pretty good on live bluegill. I caught 4 more today in an hour. 2 were little but 2 were big. One was a little over 30 inches and one was a little under. The biggest one was hooked in the tail and I just knew I had the flathead. I couldn't get him to turn for nothing.

Thanks Mike and Greg, I caught 2 more big channels on live bluegill. It seems like I catch one of the bigger channels every time I have been over there here lately.

Very awesome, Willy. You mentioned strawberry chicken. What are you talking about? Would you share your secret? hehehe

Thanks Peg and Greg. Strawberry chicken is easy to make and usually works good. Take chicken breast and cut it up into small chunks. Put them into a bag or a plastic bowl with a lid. Pour in a pack of strawberry jello and shake it up good. Some people use kool aid but jello seems to work better. I don't know if it is sweeter or what.

Oh yea I made a couple videos with the cats I was catching over at Danny's. They aren't as good though because most of the fish I caught were smaller and caught on heavier tackle trying to catch the flathead but here they are. The majority of the fish were caught on live bluegill even the little ones. Since it wont play from here like the others did I will have to put a link. The button in the bottom right hand corner of the video will make it full screen.

nice videos n nice catches willy ,,,,me an andrew went fishing the other day ...we caught white bass an catfish an bullheads an perch an bluegills......35 of them total we think ....kinda lost count ...over all it was a very good day n we got to enjoy the great outdoors....tryed to take pics but the camera had better ideals
