| Last week me and the old lady were doing the paper route when i backed up and seen that i was leaving a trail of tranny fluid on the ground, well we come to find out that it was a pin in the tranny that broke and then shot threw the bell housing. It was leaking so bad that it took 5 quarts to drive it 10 miles at 75 miles per-hour, this is the second van that this has happen to and it really pisses me off to find out that it happens quite often. It cost us 390.00 bucks for the tranny from a junk yard, then another 360.00 bucks to put the damn thing in the van. The reason for this also is a part of the paper route that the damn township don't know how to do there job and plow the damn roads, well we told the company that we are hired threw that we will no longer do that part of the route till the roads are plowed 100%. She wasn't very happy about that till we told her that this is the 5th damn car that this part of the route has destroyed of ours and we are not going to lose another, this cost us damn near a 1000.00 bucks and that she don't pay enough for us to wreck our vehicles. Well she didn't like it but she had no choice but to tell us to do it under our discretion , well that was all we needed to hear so we told her that the roads have to be plowed 100% she was pissed to damn bad. | |

| I can't say I blame you one bit, Mike. I wouldn't have been happy about it either and I would have told that woman the same thing. Hopefully this will keep you from getting another wrecked vehicle because of the roads... Best of luck to yas!~! | |

| Yes one was a Dodge and the other was a Pontiac but both have the same transmission, pretty stupid because they new of the defect but never corrected it. | |

Mike, I'm surprised that since they knew about the defect, that they didn't put out a recall on it... Maybe that is something that you need to check directly with a dealer and see if they had recalls on it. If so, you may be able to get some of your money back on it. | |

| Yes have gotten stuck with it before but was not rodded on to get out always shoveled out as to not have this happen, but it does have everything to do with putting 450 miles every weekend on 85% gravel roads and yes deep snow and yes some times deep mud when it rains. This weekend will be a challenge again because we have another winter storm coming in both with rain and plow-able snow. (we keep new tires on the van all the time) | |

| Be careful out there today, Mike.. Take your time. I know you like to get your route done and get back home, but sometimes you just can't help but to slow down and take your time.... Hopefully the van will work well today, although not much of anything works good on ice, unless, of course, you would have some BIG ice skates or ski's to put on the tires LOLOL | |

| Sounds like you need to get a deuce and a half for the route. Or perhaps a half track | |
