I understand what you're saying, Mike.. I thought maybe you missed the date stamp on the bottom of it lol.... Sorry hehehehe His date stamp could be off too..

Bucks will keep their velvet until around mid September. Some shed sooner and some shed later. I doubt the time stamp is off much. You can tell when they are almost done growing by how rounded the tines are. I can't post the pics right now but you might remember the 15 pointer my neighbor had trail cam pictures of off the farm we hunted. They were taken in June and were much more rounded. You could tell he had 3 more months of growing left.

That sure is a nice trophy congrats to you friend.
