Well, it only took me 26 1/2 years, but I finally made my first winter spearing trip. I tagged along with a coworker. Sorry, but I didn't snap any photos.

We saw a lot of fish. I threw at 4 of them and got 1 Rolling Eyes It's sure a lot harder than I thought it'd be! I have an easier time hitting carp with an arrow.

It sure is cool to see a pike cruise in an smash your sucker minnow, though.

And I even got to use a MikeDaPike decoy! Very Happy

Yeah that does sound like one cool way to take a fish Smile There was no spearing in Jersey and it wasnt very popular any more up in Canada on the Rideau but from what I hear it has been becoming more popular again with the year round locals up there

Well if that isn't cool than I don't know what else is! lol I just speared a muskie with one of my decoys yesterday.

Good to hear you got out there and got your feet wet. It takes some patience but what fishing doesn't, right? Which decoy did you get to use? Perch, Sucker etc? I always like hearing catch stories with my decoys. lol

So are ya hooked on the spearing? Cool
