Perdido Pass fishing report - sept 19/09

The tide was extra high with 2 days of south winds and that brought in the bluefish...I caught a few blues then decided to see if the sharks were in so I cut up a bluefush and within 20 minutes of casting I had a reel singing but no hook-up.....About 20 minutes after the first reel singing the other one started and I hooked up but the line broke within a minute...I had my smaller gear wirh smaller lines..I didnt even have my long leaders so I called it a night at about 10....Talked to a neighboring fisherman that said the reds had been in the mix over the past 3 weeeks...I might try it again tonight.
