Grizzly Bear Hit By Truck In Montana

Has anyone heard anything about this story? A friend sent me this on an e-mail and this was the story attached to it.


Just received these photos from a good friend and former Bitterroot Valley resident, of a grizzly bear apparently killed by truck around Lincoln, Montana which is just over sixty miles east of Missoula. Photos were shot in Ovando, which west of Lincoln. For those of you with the good memories, yes, Lincoln is where the notorious letter bomber resided and was captured.

I am guessing, but from the looks of the photos he probably weighs between six and eight hundred pounds. The bed of the rig is eight feet long.

Lastly, I am certain that this is not the rig that hit the bear as an animal this big would definitely take out the radiator, wrapping it securely about the engine, rendering the rig undriveable.

For those of you unfamiliar with a griz, note the length of his claws.

no i haven't heard anything about it but that thing is a monster, them claws are huge when you look at that person holding that one. i sure hope that it didn't go to waste that is some good eating there.

I'd like to see a picyure of the truck that hit it. That thing had to do some damage .

could you picture that thing at 55 miles an hour, i hit a deer at 60 with my dodge pickup and let me tell ya if i hadn't put a guard on the front i wouldn't of had a truck left but it didn't do much damage at all with the guard on.
