Food Pyramid Empty
PostSubject: Food Pyramid   Food Pyramid I_icon_minitimeWed Jun 10, 2009 7:17 pm

I finally have decided to get serious about my weight. My wife and I ordered some stuff from Denise Austin an exercise ball and some diet guidelines. My wife was working on the grocery list last night and started freaking out. If we followed her plan we would spend 1 month's food budget on 2 weeks worth of groceries. Crying or Very sad So last night I did a Yahoo search for food pyramid and low and behold I found a great web site funded by our tax dollars http://www.mypyramid.gov. I was absolutely amazed at the amount of useful information on this site. You don't have to buy special food you can track what you normally buy and it will guide you into how much you should have. I like the fact that this is a gradual reduction of weight not a drastic cut in calories. I went over by 246 calories -- guess I should have left those mini doughnuts in the store this morning!! I actually even got on the bike today for 1/2 an hour. I guess maybe that helped to get rid of the doughnuts.
