Minn. records first probable case of swine flu

Two Minnesota schools closed Wednesday after the health department announced the state's first probable case of swine flu.

Officials in Cold Spring voluntarily closed Rocori Middle School and St. Boniface School.

The Minnesota Department of Health confirmed the virus as type A influenza but the MDH does not have the ability to confirm the strain as swine flu.

Additional testing by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will be needed.

Yes it does, it's just a matter of time and we will see many more states dealing with this crap.

They raised the pandemic level to 5...Thats the highest.....That means its just a matter of time before it goes global...or so they say.

Oh man.... That sucks! Sorry to hear. I heard that there has been a case in Bowling Green, OH also.

This is not a good thing for anyone.

Nope it's not. Bowling Green is only about an hour from me.

They just confirmed 100% that one of the cases being tested to see if it was swine flu is in fact that, so it is for sure in the state of Minnesota.
