Been doing a lot of fishing lately just not much catching. I finally went old school jerseycat and went strictly bass fishing and finally got my line stretched. I knew the males would be making their way shallow for the spawn so I set out for them on shallow points and coves. I found the fish right away but for the first hour or so I couldnt crack the code. Finally I tied on a new X-rap slash bait I had bought in a ghost white color (white is always a good early season bet) and caught my first bass of the day within 3 casts with the new lure
Managed to wrangle in a couple more then tragedy struck as I was casting I smacked the lure off the side of the boat and broke the plastic lip off the bait
And then it was back to no fish again managed 2 more hook ups on a medium diving crankbait close to the same color but the action wasnt anything like the other lure. Back in the day whenever I bought a new lure I always bought 2 just in case and was reminded why I did that. Well anyways here are the pics. All spotted bass.
