LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) - Authorities in La Crosse are investigating after a frozen body was found in a shelter at Houska Park.
A visitor reported finding the body Tuesday afternoon about 12:30 p.m. on the second-level landing of the pavilion's observation tower. Investigators said she apparently had been there for "some time."
There's no word yet on the person's identity, and police haven't given any estimate of her age.
According to police, there are no obvious signs of injury.
An autopsy is planned Wednesday.
