| I like suckers and their flavor. I grew up eating lots of suckers. And then later an old lady showed my how to cut them on each side perhaps the cuts being 3/8" inch apart. Cuts only made from the tail area to about 2/3 of the way toward the front. Then fry them in hot oil. All the little bones then seem to go away. What a feast. Even without doing it that way suckers are just wonderful. | |

| craig we have good abundance of creek chubs, and the suckers if you were to run the creel that leads into that lake you can get all sizes in the traps. those there would be good cut bait for sure. | |

| they can be fixed alot of different ways, i like them pickled some like them fried, or they can be used as cut bait for cats. pickled is real awesome with lots of onions. | |

Find an area where a creek dumps into a river. Use a small (#4) hook and a couple of split shot pinched about a foot above your hook. We usually use a couple angle worms for bait. Just let it sit on the bottom. They bite very lightly. Sometimes it pays to give it a yank every few minutes. Lots of times there'll be a fish on. | |
